On Manifesting & Faith
It may disappoint the cynics out there if I state that I believe in manifestation, but oh well. I believe in it because it has happened to me many, many, many times. I want something (or someone or some opportunity) and - blam - the Universe delivers.
The problem with manifestation is that if it comes from a place of fear or pain or lack of safety or instability, it will almost certainly cause more of the same pain. Either that, or we are going to resist, reject, or sabotage the BLEEP out of it, no matter how amazing it might be.Yay.
This is why I think faith is such an important part of growth and spiritual alignment. We can’t make the most out of what God or Good or the Universe has to offer if we are unhealed and completely lacking in faith.
Which comes first on the chicken or egg journey that is healing and faith? Welp, you guessed it - I wouldn’t be writing this blog if I didn’t think EVERYTHING kinda, sorta, always starts with faith.
Once I forced myself to start having faith, a bunch of wonderful things happened to me and a bunch of really sad, soul crushing things happened to me. Life was life-ing, but because I had faith, I had a little bit more strength than usual to pause, breath, pray, and start searching for actual healing rather than diving back into the same old stressful cycles.
I did this because I had finally created some semblance of safety and because I had accrued enough evidence that God or Good would stay on my side if I just focused on it, stayed with it, remained committed to having faith, no matter how much pain or hardship I was in.
So, we can manifest all we want, but if it comes from a place of terror or stress or insecurity (i.e., a lack of safety), it will probably not be what we actually need. My recommendation? Start with faith, then search for healing, which creates better conditions for believing in, accepting, and maybe even embracing what the Universe, God, or Good has to offer.
Call it whatever we want, it’s always here for us, the question is are we ready to receive it, believe in it, and not BLEEP it up?
