There is something about the support of Good or God that makes us more capable of God or Good in action, which is Love. Love is an expression of Good. It is a byproduct of having faith. As we work to have faith in Good or God, we become willing to extend that same sentiment to other people, having faith in them, in ourselves, and whatever lies between us.

Finding Meaning

I am starting to suspect that many people go through life without choosing a purpose. I use the word choosing because that’s actually what happens. We don’t find a purpose. We don’t find meaning in our lives. I think we have to choose it.

Whether it’s just positive thinking, a shift in outlook, or actual spiritual works happening around me doesn’t really matter to me. I am enjoying it either way.

Snake Oil

I firmly believe that we all are worthy of Good things in life and just a willingness to believe in Good is the best, simplest place to start. It’s a doorway to having real faith in positive outcomes, and I am here to encourage anyone willing and interested to go through it.  If that is snake oil, then I guess I’m selling it.

Sometimes, There Are Slow Days

The thing about faith is that not every day contains a revelation. Sometimes, there are slow days. That’s when it’s easy to slip into old habits of unfaithful living. It’s almost easier to keep praying and having faith when life is a BLEEPshow.

I would argue the willingness to believe we are worthy of Good and the willingness to believe we are worthy of being devoted to our creative passions are one and the same. Going all in on God and ourselves is kind of the same gesture, if you think about it.

Hearts of Darkness

This is the wicked part of having faith. The whole goal is to enact change, but once it starts happening, it unfolds in unanticipated ways and touches every part of our being. For most of us, this is disconcerting. Even if we’re building toward a more positive future. Especially then.

How many times do those of us who struggle to believe get ourselves into a real bind and start praying our little BLEEPS off? God must be like, who dis?

There Are No Coincidences

I can attest that when we’re tuned in to the Universe and preoccupying ourselves with prayer and meditation, rather than hopelessness and rumination, it is true that there are basically NO coincidences.

Yesterday, I was thinking about fear and how it can function as an armor against love or opportunity. Love isn’t really love when it’s full of fear. We can’t actually experience the full breadth and depth of it with misgivings or hedging our bets against the future.

A Walking Glow Stick

Living a faithful life is a bit like being a walking glow stick. Before, I was living in darkness, and then something broke open, and now the most important thing I can do is be a light for others.

Faith does not have to be complicated. It really can just start with a willingness to believe that we are worthy of Good. The sole purpose of this blog is to just help people start there. What we all do with it from there is up to us and God.

Trust Falls

It’s only been a couple of weeks, but it has been eye-opening and faith building. I am asking for help far more frequently, and the craziest part is I am getting the help I need.

I think the most useful component to having faith in Good or God, once we get over the sheer insanity of a willingness to believe, is that it gives us hope for a better future.

Praying at Our Problems

I have lived an exhausting life for a long time. This version, full of prayer, meditation, holding still, and asking for help, has actually been much more restful and much more productive.

Five stars, highly recommend.

Once we get over smarting from hitting a bottom, brush ourselves off, look around, and become willing to just say BLEEP IT, put our hands together and pray, there’s actually a lot of fun to be had if we stick with it.

On Perfectionism

Now that I have some semblance of faith, however small, I am inclined to aim God right at the problem. Make this different for me, please, and hop to it!

I am pretty sure that isn’t how God operates.

On Loneliness vs. Being Alone

Like many of us, I have long hated being alone. I have spent a lot of time going out of my way to create social activities or make plans or occupy my time with others, often to the point of exhaustion.

I think one of the wonderful things about faith is that in some ways it limits our options and in other ways it allows us to flourish beyond our wildest dreams.

Spiritual Cleaning House

I believe there is no wrong way to have faith, just like there is no wrong way to clean a house. Everyone does both a little differently, and things will get worse before it gets better, but if we are focused on having faith, that really is just a sign that we are making progress.
